The LAS series is manufactured by WayCon, and is a laser sensor that has a tiny visible laser spot that enables an accurate orientation of the sensor. It also has the capacity to measure distances on rough surfaces with the use of a fine laser line. The unit has a measuring capacity that ranges from 1 mm up to 13,000 mm with a resolution of 2 µm. The model is integrated with a micro-controller which provides a precise output signal of 0 V up to 10 V, and 4 mA up to 20 mA.
